Better Service Rentals is a locally owned family business which has been renting cars in Nelson, Picton and Christchurch, New Zealand since around 1990. Better Service Rentals are based at the Nelson Airport. More recently we also have branches in Westport and drop depots in Dunedin, Queenstown, and Blenheim airport. Phone (03) 5474246 We offer a fleet of cheap rental cars from backpackers, 2 and 3 door hatchbacks, 4 door sedans, station wagons, 8 seater coaches, 11 seater vans and 12 seater vans. We also have a small range of later model cars. We have a convenient park at the Nelson, Blenheim and Picton airport where customers can arrange to pick up or drop off rental cars outside business hours. A full drivers licence is required Insurance excess is (NZ) $1000 but can be reduced to $250 by paying extra (NZ) $10 a day with a four day minimum of $40.00. One way hires can be arranged. We have branches in Picton and Westport and Christchurch, with drop off depots in Dunedin, Greymouth, and Queenstown. We have a 4wd station wagon available for the winter season if you want to go skiing up at Mt Robert, St Anaud or the Rainbow ski fields. We also allow our older cheaper backpackers cars to these areas and will supply snow chains free of charge.
